Dr. Jayanta Kumar Gupta

Dr. Jayanta Kumar Gupta is a renowned Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist from Kolkata, West Bengal with more than a decade of advanced experience in dealing with ailments related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr. Gupta completed his MBBS in 1981 and DGO (Diploma) in 1986 from Medical College, Calcutta. He further accomplished MD (Obs & Gyn) in 1988 from R G Kar Medical College in Calcutta. He holds membership (MRCOG) as well as fellowship (FRCOG) of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr. Gupta currently leads the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department of Apollo Gleneagles Hospital in Kolkata, where he has been serving as Director and HOD since March 2003.

He has previously worked with some of the leading hospitals in UK like Birmingham Maternity Hospital, Stepping Hill Hospital, and Liverpool Women's Hospital. He worked as Consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician with Cayman Islands Government Hospital (Cayman Island, British Overseas territory) for approximately 6 years wherein he was awarded with 'Cayman Island Government Award' for reducing the incidents of Cervical Cancer - 1998.
